What is Blind Date With a Star?
Blind Date with a Star is LDAPEI's major fundraising initiative. It is held annually, in October, during Learning Disabilities Awareness Month.

When? Where?
- Wednesday October 20, 2010
- Doors to the Confederation Centre Studio 1 open at 5:30pm, for the Reception and Silent Auction.
- A Live Draw will pair 10 guests with one of our fabulous Celebrities.
- At approximately 7pm, your party will then enjoy a three-course gourmet meal at one of the 10-15 nearby Restaurants or exclusive Venues.

What makes this event unique?
This is truly an event like no other! We have selected venues that are among the finest in Charlottetown. The tables are set at a maximum of 12 to create a more relaxed and intimate atmosphere. Many venues have prepared special menus, exclusive only to our guests, which are designed to dazzle the taste buds and showcase their various culinary talents! Our Celebrities are fascinating and entertaining people, and you are sure to be engaged in great conversation, share a lot of laughs, and make new friends! All the while supporting an important cause.

Why support LDAPEI's Blind Date With a Star?
LDAPEI purchased Adaptive Technology with the money raised from this event, which is used regularly to assist individuals with learning disabilities improve their reading and writing abilities. A Student Financial Awards Program for Island students with learning disabilities was also established. The money raised in 2009 will assist in maintaining the Adaptive Technology Resource Centre and expand the LDAPEI Student Financial Awards Program!

What is the cost of tickets?
Tickets are $100.00 each. A charitable receipt for 75% (or $75.00 per ticket) will be issued for tax purposes. Charitable Registration Number: 11910 3083 RR0001

How do I purchase tickets?
You may purchase as many tickets as you like, from an individual ticket to multiple tables! Please keep in mind that in order to be seated together, the maximum group per table is 10. There are two ways to purchase tickets:

Unable to attend? Donate your seat!
Why not purchase a ticket (or table) for an LD Awareness Representative! We will fill the seat(s) with a knowledgeable volunteer, parent(s) of children with Learning Disabilities, or an individual with a Learning Disability. You can provide a lovely treat for a deserving person, all the while supporting LDAPEI.
